Areas of Clinical Interest


Previous to his current position as Division Director of Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Services in Department of Psychiatry, Saaid Khojasteh, MD was the Founder and President of Advent Medical Group, a large psychiatric private practice group, where he practiced both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, seeing a patient population of children, adolescents, and adults. He was also the Network Associate Medical Director of Behavioral Medicine of SSM Health, as well as Chief of the Department of Psychiatry, SSM St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles and Wentzville, Missouri. Dr. Khojasteh has been involved in numerous clinical trials for several pharmaceutical companies and psychiatric products as Principal Investigator. He continues to remain dedicated to serving the mental health needs of the community through his various capacities, and his practice of psychiatry. He is the recipient of several awards from NAMI, St. Louis, and SSM Healthcare for Excellence in Practice of Psychiatry and Community Service.
