Reuben Welch, PhD, specializes in and has extensive experience in interpersonal psychotherapy for the treatment of depression, social and interpersonal distress, and eating disorders.
Research Interests
I have expertise in the training and evaluation of interventionists from varied backgrounds in the use of evidence-based obesity and weight-related treatments as evidenced by my involvement in a large-scale initiative in the VA health care system, two NIH-funded research trials, and one foundation-funded research trial. I have also been devoted to studying the development and implementation of effective psychological interventions for obesity and related conditions, such as binge eating disorder.
