Areas of Research Interests
As a clinical investigator associated with the Washington University Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, my areas of emphasis have included the psychopathology of dementia of the Alzheimer type (DAT) and the characterization of presymptomatic DAT and very mild DAT. I am also involved in studies of affective disorder in populations with co-morbid coronary heart disease.
As Vice-chair for Education and former Residency Director, I am interested in both consumer and professional education. Recently, I co-authored two books with Charles F. Zorumski, MD: Demystifying Psychiatry (2010) and Psychiatry and Clinical Neuroscience: A Primer (2011).
