Drs. Rioch, Whitehorn, and Jacobsen
Dr. Rioch was appointed the administrative head of the Department of Neuropsychiatry. He worked at the Medical School from 1938 until about 1943 at which time he left for a research position at the Chestnut Lodge. Dr. Whitehorn was a professor of psychiatry. He left in 1941 to take the Adolph Meyer Chair at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Jacobsen eventually left the University to become Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Iowa.
